Echo: Impacting Future GenerationsSample
Jesus was God in human form here on earth. He had all the characteristics of God listed in Psalm 145. The apostles were His followers. They walked beside Him, asked Him questions, ate with Him, laughed with Him, and watched Him work miracles.
You’d think that people who’d spent that much time with Jesus would act a lot like Him, but not yet having the Holy Spirit inside to help them, they struggled to emulate their beloved leader. They had a particularly hard time seeing people the way Jesus saw them. Once they received the Holy Spirit, they understood and were able to do better.
As you read today’s passages, consider your own tendencies when interacting with others. Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to change the way you see and respond to others? Are you behaving in a way that will inspire those who come behind you to love as Jesus loves?
