Who is God the Father?
If I had to describe my dad in two words, they would be “hard working.” I loved working with my pops, not only because I loved spending time with him, but also because I loved spending time with power tools! Jesus grew up working with his earthly father too. Before Jesus went into ministry, He was working as a carpenter and worked the family business. One day, Jesus was working for His heavenly Father when some people thought He shouldn’t have been. Jesus looked to His heavenly Father for guidance, not from other people. Jesus was observing the efforts of His heavenly Father and He observed Him working, so He thought it wise to do the same.
There will be times in your life when you won’t know what to do. There will be times you just don’t know what is right or wrong, and times you don’t know left or right. God designed it that way because it requires faith and it requires knowing God as your Father.
God could have picked a million different ways to relate to us as created beings, but He chose to be our Father. You have a heavenly Father who you can go to with anything for any reason and He will never make you feel guilty. Guilt is the worst feeling in the world. It makes you hide your face and even run away. You don’t have to worry about guilt separating you from your heavenly Father because He’s a good Dad that wants to be near you no matter what.
