Streaks: PrayerSample
I’m sure we’ve all dreamed of having those parents that give us absolutely everything we want the second we ask for it. Come on…what kid hasn’t? But the thing we learn as we get older is that it would actually be bad parenting to give a kid every single thing he or she wants all the time…it’s just not good for the child! And loving parents, above anything else, want what is best for their kids. In this passage, we learn that God is the same way. We can ask and ask and ask for whatever it is we want, and God may give it to us. He may have us wait a little bit first, or He may actually say “no” to our request. But, whatever the answer, we can trust that God is a good, good Father, and His answer is absolutely in our best interests! As you pray today and ask God for whatever is on your mind, finish your prayer by telling God that you know He is good and that whatever answer He gives is the best possible outcome for you.
Read today’s Scripture, and then pray for at least two minutes.
