NEXT STEPS: I Met Jesus

DAY 6 OF 13

THE BIBLE IS TRUTH

The Bible seems to be a cause of a lot of controversial conversations, and a source of argument about whether it is true. When we give our lives to Jesus, our eyes are open to the truth because we experienced how it affected our own lives. We have a knowing that the Bible is, in fact, God’s Word. It is alive and active, sharper than a double-edged sword. It has the power to change and transform people and it has the power to fight the enemy and be victorious. When people experience the truth, they can’t help but want to share it with everyone they know!

The Bible is God-breathed which means that everything that was written came from Him. This can be proven by the astounding accuracy between books of the Bible. Each one was written by a different person at a different time, but they never contradict each other. God uses the Bible to speak to us and that’s why the enemy loves to confuse and create doubt in peoples’ minds about its accuracy. He knows how dangerous it is in the hands of a righteous person, so he uses all his tricks to keep people from reading it.

A lot of people will think that it’s irrelevant, intimidating, or pointless to read because they feel they won’t understand it. God wants you to know Him so as you read, you can trust that He will reveal things to you and help you understand what He says!

Practical Steps:

Ask God to help you understand and comprehend what you read and hear at church.
