YOUR LIFE IS HIS 

Calling yourself a Christian is a huge responsibility. It isn’t just a type of “religion” but a lifestyle. When we say we’re Christians it means we are followers of Jesus, which requires movement. When we give our life to Jesus it means that we choose to want what God wants instead of what we want. We step into a position that we are willing to live and die for Christ, because of His sacrifice for us. It means that we believe that Jesus is God and His Word is Truth and we want to live in His Truth. When we trust His character and know how much He loves us, it’s a natural response to do what He asks. 

It says in John 14:15  that if we love God, we’ll obey His commands. We already know how much God loves us and this is the way we get to show how much we love Him in return!

How we live as Christians will greatly impact the world! If we claim to be Christians but we aren’t obedient to Him, we will negatively affect someone’s view of who God is but when we live in obedience, we will be a part of leading many people to Jesus! We’ve all experienced the “Christians” that were hypocritical! They deterred us from wanting to know Jesus because they didn’t represent His character well. We want to live our lives to reflect who He is so that people want to know God. When we are obedient we experience all the promises God has for us. True happiness, contentment and peace comes from obedience. 

We need to rely on God in order for us to grow in obedience and live the way He called us to live. When we live out of response to God’s love, He helps us do the right thing and make the right choices. We just need to trust that He knows what’s best for us. 

Practical Step:

Each morning surrender everything to God and ask Him to use you that day! Watch this series on obedience called Pray-Obey
