A Moment With GodSample
ALL THE WAY
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
Heaven must be in us before we can be in heaven.
C S Lewis said “A continual looking forward to the eternal world is not a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things that a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history, those who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next.”
There are five questions that we needs must ask:
- What did we accomplish in the world with the power God gave us? Have we sat complaining that we are worthless weak and useless? Or are we doing what God wants us to do?
- How did we help our neighbour and what did we do for those in need? Are we self-centered only praying for our needs, refusing to use the gifts and talents to invest in others' lives? Are we waiting for people to give? Are we receivers or givers? God has given us talents. Are we keeping them hidden? Or are we using it? When we saw our neighbor in pain, did we move forward to help?
- What did we do to serve God? We think serving God is only for Pastors and leaders but serving God is for every human being to who God has given life. Are we serving God with all that He has given us - a life to live, the talents to use?
- What do we leave in the world that is worthwhile when we leave it? What legacy do we leave behind? Have we been a mentor, a role-model? What does God expect us to do?
- What do we bring into the new Lord which will be of use there? Do we look at that which is temporary or the ones that are eternal? Do we spend our time accumulating things here and do not have any eternal perspective?
Let us sit back and ask these questions. Let us be ready when the Master calls us. Let us give all the way.
All the way to Heaven is Heaven. No man will go to heaven who has not given his heart to Jesus. It can happen only when Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour.
All the way to Heaven is Heaven.
