Illuminate: A 21-Day JourneySample
Day 16: Do Whatever It Takes
Sometimes sharing with others feels like a huge deal. Fear of rejection or failure may prevent us from taking that first step in sharing our faith. Take a second and read Mark 2.1-12 before reading the reflection. As you read this passage, focus on the determination of the men who wouldn’t take no for an answer.
Reflection
Instead of getting discouraged because they couldn’t get in, the four men were determined to do whatever it took to get their friend to Jesus so that he might be healed. We must be just as committed and determined to introduce those we know and love to Jesus also. As God’s lights in this world, it is our responsibility to illuminate the way for others to find Christ, no matter the cost.
Can you think of a time when you were so determined to reach someone that you went out of your way to share with them?
How far would you go to share the Good News of Jesus with those you love?
Is there anything that you wouldn’t do?

About this Plan
Coming off a retreat or revival? What next? You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, and have been commissioned to shine (illuminate) his love in the midst of a dark world. But what does that mean? How did we get here? And what do we do with all of this? All good questions, and if you stick with us through this journey, we are confident that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the light within you that God intends to use to illuminate the world!
