Here I Am X Waha

DAY 4 OF 5

Seeking God.

Change is everywhere.

Countries change, leaders change, and even the seasons around us change.

But one thing remains steady:

God never changes.

In Jeremiah 29:11-14, God tells us something very special. He says, "I know the thoughts I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

What a promise! God knows you and wants good things for your life. However, what we often miss is the context for this passage.

Sometimes, we just focus on the nice verse about having a hope and a nice future. But just like a story with chapters, there's more to understand.

Before these words were spoken, the people of Israel were in captivity for a long time—70 years!

Can you imagine how they must have felt before they heard this? The chosen people of God who had seen God do miraculous things like parting the seas so they can walk through on dry ground were in captivity for 70 years!

Sometimes we wait and wait for something that we thought God promised us. We allow our circumstances to chip away at this hope for a future that is rich with promise. We start to question that He loves us, He has good plans for us, He wants to provide for us, etc.

This statement to the Israelites shows us the nature of God towards His children... now that includes us!

He never forgets your purpose.

After all, He did create you.

Our journey in the midst of it all is simply to seek Him. He promises that if we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him.

Right now is a perfect time for us to search for God with all our hearts. He knows what He's doing. He's better than you think. He wants to lead you into greater things.

Let’s be "all-in" for what God wants to do with us and through us.

Ask Yourself:

Is there anything I stopped believing God could do in my life?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for how good you've been in my life. You are the Master planner. You are my Shepherd. You care way more about my life than I do. I surrender to your ways. Share your heart with me. Amen.
