Lead And Follow

DAY 4 OF 8

My choices are an example for others.

Jesus told us to be the salt and light of the world. That means the examples we set should show others how good God is and what He’s like.

Now that’s a big responsibility! Should you wait until you’re grown up and you know more about God to do it?

No way! The Bible verse 1 Timothy 4:12 says that it doesn’t matter how old you are. Even if you’re young, you can set an example and lead others when you choose words and actions that honor God.

Watch the video and play Magazine Word Search to help you memorize 1 Timothy 4:12. It will help you remember to start setting a godly example right now!

Magazine Word Search

  1. Ask a grownup for some old magazines.
  2. Look through the magazines for the words to 1 Timothy 4:12.
  3. When you find a word, cut it out.
  4. Glue the words you cut out in order to make the whole verse.
  5. Cut out pictures about the Bible verse and glue them to your paper to decorate.

Talk It Over: Why do you think God wants kids to set a godly example right now instead of waiting until they’re all grown up?

About this Plan

Lead And Follow

Are you a leader or a follower? God made you to be a little of both. He’ll help you know who to follow, and how to be a leader! For Parents: Your child will have a deeper understanding of each day’s reading and questions if you complete this Bible Plan with them. This plan includes several games to play for verse memorization. You may want to supervise use of materials.
