COVID-19/PSALM 91: 7 Keys to Conquering Fear Voorbeeld
It's time to visit your second home...
Psalm 91 dispels the fears that COVID-19 wants to instill within us. This precious psalm continues, saying:
“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling”
(Psalm 91:9-10)
When someone asks you, “Where do you live?”, your city, the street where your house is located and of course your house, immediately come to mind. In your day-to-day routine, you’ll likely go many places (to work, to the grocery store… ), but your home is that place you always come back to. It’s that place where you can rest, relax and be with your loved ones. It’s the place you live.
But, dear friend, did you know that you have two houses? One is the physical house where you live. Today’s passage is inviting you to make the presence of God your second home. May your times of prayer to God be like that place you always come back to, that place where you feel safe and confident in the presence of the One who loves you more than anything in the universe. Before Him, you can let go of what’s overwhelming you and receive new strength.
If your second home has cobwebs, it’s time to visit it once again! Moreover, this passage contains an incredible promise when you do: “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” Amen! Yes, your prayer activates God’s supernatural power!
Let me pray for you: “Father, help my friend to feel comfortable in Your presence, to the point that time with You becomes one of his/her deepest desires. May my friend make You, Lord, his/her second home, and may he/she find in Your presence a source of courage and spiritual victory that will change his/her life forever. In Jesus’ name, amen!”
You are a miracle!
