COVID-19/PSALM 91: 7 Keys to Conquering Fear Voorbeeld
Snuggle up in the Lord’s arms
At this time when the whole world is living in a cloud of fear because of COVID-19, I want to invite you to turn the situation around with Psalm 91.
The beginning of this psalm says:
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.’”
(Psalm 9:1-2)
I have fond memories of my grandmother. I remember that when I was a little boy, I loved seeing her in her coat. I loved the smell of her coat as well as its smooth texture. Obviously, if I had tried to put it on, I wouldn’t have been able to because it would’ve been huge (not to mention that it was also a woman’s coat =)), but I loved feeling it close and snuggling in it when hugging my grandmother. In those moments, nothing else mattered; I felt totally safe.
Do you know the best part? That although I can no longer snuggle in my grandmother’s arms, I can do so in my Heavenly Father’s arms. Dear friend, today, may you feel His embrace and the softness of His coat in your life. No matter what happens around you, He is with you! He is your hope, your refuge, your fortress. Snuggle up in the Lord’s arms today!
Would you like to pray with me? “Father, I want to live in Your presence, and curl up in Your arms. Help me to not be afraid in this situation. Give me wisdom, and above all, help me to live close to You, praying regularly, being more aware of Your closeness. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
In these days of uncertainty, may your certainty be found in the Lord. Tomorrow we will continue to move forward in Psalm 91. Stand strong, dear friend! You’re in my prayers and in my heart.
You are a miracle!
