Sermon on the Mount: The BeatitudesSample

Sermon on the Mount: The Beatitudes

दिन 26 को 30

Day 26:

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. - Matthew 5:11-12

Holding fast to the promise of reward

When facing persecution, it’s important to remember the promise of an eternal reward. 2 Corinthians 4:17 encourages us, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” Keeping our eyes on the future glory that awaits us helps us endure hardships with strength and perseverance.

The trials we face on earth are temporary, but the reward we receive in heaven is everlasting. This eternal perspective transforms the way we view suffering. Instead of being discouraged, we can be motivated by the hope of standing in the presence of our Savior and hearing Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Holding fast to this promise empowers us to remain steadfast in our faith, no matter the cost.

Let us focus on the eternal reward, allowing it to strengthen our resolve and give us courage. Amid persecution, we can trust that God sees every sacrifice and will reward us in ways beyond what we can imagine.

Prayer focus:

Strengthening your resolve by focusing on the eternal reward.
