Receiving God’s mercy
God’s mercy is a beautiful, undeserved gift from His loving and compassionate nature. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Each day, God showers us with fresh mercy, forgiving our sins and giving us strength to walk in His grace.
Reflecting on God’s mercy in our lives brings us to a place of gratitude and awe. We all need God’s forgiveness, and He, in His great love, meets us with compassion instead of judgment. This mercy transforms us, humbling our hearts and inviting us into a deeper relationship with Him. We don’t have to earn God’s mercy; it is freely given, reminding us of His faithfulness and unwavering love.
We are filled with thanksgiving as we ponder how God has shown us mercy. His mercy inspires us to extend the same grace to others, recognizing that we all receive His kindness and love.

The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most incredible passages of scripture in the entire Bible. It is the longest passage of Jesus speaking without interruption. The Beatitudes, or attitudes of supreme blessing, are a roadmap for our lives, teaching us to reflect the nature of Jesus Christ in every interaction. Throughout this devotional, we will spend three days on each beatitude, ending with a focus on applying the entirety of it to our daily lives.
