Good Faith

दिन 16 को 20

What do you do when you’re under stress? Perhaps you’re a person who tries to tackle it all head-on. You dive right into the issue and try to come up with a solution to alleviate the stress. Maybe you’re someone who just shuts down. You don’t think about it, you don’t talk about it, and you do your best not to acknowledge it. Or maybe you’re just someone who numbs out completely. You binge-watch TV, you eat your feelings, and you dive into hanging out with friends. The problem with any of these approaches? The stress is usually still there waiting when you return.

You can’t take it on all on your own, you can’t avoid it, and you can’t find a coping mechanism strong enough to get rid of it. That’s why, like Daniel, we must learn to turn to our faith in our moments of great stress. Daniel could’ve done anything to alleviate his stress, but what he did choose to do was give it to God. He put his faith in God to help him handle what was ahead, one step at a time, and that’s what we can do today, too!

This week, commit to spending just five minutes a day in prayer. Set an alarm to remind you! If you’re feeling capable, you can even do this more than once and pray multiple times a day. Each time the alarm goes off, stop and pray, asking God to help you develop the habit of turning to Him in prayer when you’re stressed or unsure.
