Eph 1:11-12

As a parent, one of the hardest things to make your kids understand growing up is that we have their best interests at heart. We also know them & therefore make plans, we know they will love.

Ephesians 1:11-12
In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.

When you know that God is good, His sovereignty should comfort you, not scare you. God is good and God is in control. I can trust his wisdom, power and love.

The sovereignty of God must be read in the context of the whole Bible, where God speaks to people about the human responsibilities and roles within creation. God largely works out His plans through humans.

God's sovereignty enables us to trust Him with our obedience and faithfulness.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.
