Healing Hurt From a Broken Heartनमूना
Day 4: Overcoming Worry
“Don’t worry about anything.” With your thoughts and emotions all over the place, you're probably asking, how is that even possible?! The Word tells us exactly how to do it. PRAY!
Pray about everything you think you should worry about. For some of us, worry comes so naturally. It’s like the air we breathe. Therefore, we must be intentional about capturing our thoughts before they turn into worry and start praying.
If you’re wondering what to pray about, the Word tells us that too. It says, “Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” I think Paul purposely put those two things together. Telling God what you need while remembering what He has already done gives us faith that He will meet the need we’re currently praying about.
When dealing with heartache, bitterness, or unforgiveness, it can seem impossible to have those feelings taken away. It may feel like you will never get through this, but you can. Just tell God you need those feelings taken from you. Ask Him to replace them with peace, joy, forgiveness, etc. He will meet your needs.
As you continue to ask Him and thank Him, an unsurpassable peace will come over you. The day will come when you don’t know why you have peace because your situation did not change, and you won’t be able to explain it. That is God guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and it’s such a wonderful feeling. Start overcoming worry today by sharing your heart with God and telling Him what you need.
Declare: I refuse to worry about the situations in my life. I know God knows exactly what I need. I choose to look to God and pray about all things. I thank God because He met my needs in the past, and I know He will meet my needs now. I thank God for peace during this season of my life.
