Live Connected: You Have a Part to Play!

DAY 5 OF 7

### Words for the Glory of God Have you ever considered the profound impact you can have on others through the simple act of teaching and encouragement? Through these gifts, we can illuminate the darkest corners of someone’s life, sparking a transformation bound to leave an indelible mark on their soul. As we embark on the journey of becoming a teacher, we must be mindful of the responsibility that teaching entails. We lead and feed others, giving them new ideas and knowledge to contemplate. This role requires patience, humility, and the understanding that growth takes time. It is natural to feel frustrated when our lessons are not sinking in. Remember the apostle Paul’s words: “Again I say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) Our task as teachers is to patiently repeat our message, never losing sight of the importance of humility in the face of the attention we receive. In the same vein, encouragement is a powerful force that can act as a ray of light in the dark, lifting others and giving them hope. However, we must be cautious not to fall into the trap of generalities and insincerities. Genuine encouragement goes beyond simple platitudes and requires a heartfelt, specific connection. Taking the time to notice the details and express our admiration sincerely can make all the difference in someone’s life. Imagine the transformative power of an encouraging note, a handwritten token of appreciation that can brighten someone’s day and reaffirm their sense of self-worth. While it might seem like a small gesture, it can create ripples of change that reverberate throughout a person’s life. As we step into our roles as teachers and encouragers, we must remember to be specific and sincere, allowing our words to touch the very soul of the person we are addressing. In a world where discouragement and negativity often reign supreme, we can speak words that glorify our Father in Heaven. As we strive to be better teachers and encouragers, let us not withhold the love of Jesus within us but use our words to impact others’ lives. Are we being patient and humble as we teach and encourage others? Are we offering genuine, specific encouragement that goes beyond mere generalities? Are we contributing to the betterment of those around us, or are we simply going through the motions? Reflect on these questions and consider how you can more effectively utilize your gifts of teaching and encouragement to make a difference in the lives of those around you. After all, the power to change someone’s life lies in your words and actions.
