Show Me Your Ways

Morning routines: everybody has them. Do you have a certain way of starting the day? We all have preferences and ways of doing things and, in fact, we’re usually convinced that our ways are the best - better than everybody else’s! God’s ways of doing things are not the same as ours. “All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful” (v. 10). There is a popular phrase that says that “God works in mysterious ways”, because He is outside of time, sees the end from the beginning, and knows every little detail.

Read verses 4-10 of this Psalm. The longing of David’s heart is that the Lord would teach him His ways. Have a look at all of the verbs related to teaching in these verses (some are repeated more than once): show, teach, guide, instruct. One way we can learn the ways of the Lord is by getting to know more about Him in His Word. If you’ve decided to do this reading plan with us, you’re on a good path! Keep going.
