Give Me Your Peace नमूना
Day 3: Peace Through God’s Provision
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day’” (Exodus 16:4).
We are spiritual beings, but we also have very real physical needs, such as food, clothing, and protection. Does God care about those needs? Absolutely! He wants to give us peace in every area of life.
After the Israelites left Egypt, they began to panic about the lack of food in the wilderness. They complained against Moses and Aaron, “You have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death” (Exodus 16:3). There was no way two men could provide enough food to feed all those people, but God could, and He did. God sent quail and manna, enough for everyone to have their fill. He also gave specific instructions for gathering the manna. Why were these instructions important? God was testing His people to see if they would obey Him. Only through obedience would the Israelites have peace, both in their bodies and in their hearts.
The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness, and God met their every need. In Deuteronomy 29:6–7, Moses reminded the people, “Your clothes and sandals did not wear out … He provided for you so you would know that he is the Lord your God.”
God loves to provide. It’s part of His nature. When times are difficult, it’s tempting to doubt His desire or ability to care for us. However, Jesus told His disciples, “Your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need” (Luke 12:30–31).
After Jesus miraculously fed a crowd of 5,000 men (plus women and children) with just five loaves and two fish, people were eager to be near Him. But Jesus knew that their deepest need could not be met with physical food. He explained, “The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world … I am the bread of life” (John 6:33, 35).
Jesus is the greatest example of God’s provision. Through Him, our relationship with God is restored, and we have the incredible promise of eternal life. By trusting the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) for our spiritual well-being, we have assurance that our physical needs will be cared for as well. The apostle Paul wrote, “This same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
Father in heaven, you are a generous God. You provide everything we need freely and in abundance. May we always be grateful for every gift, and may we always obey You in everything we do. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

In the middle of life’s storms, how can we have peace? Like many of God’s gifts, peace is freely offered, but we need to know where to look for it and how to receive it. This four-day devotional from Gateway Worship explores four key ways God gives us His peace—His presence, His power, His provision, and His promises.
