THE RIGHTEOUS

We are righteous because of Christ who has justified us. Through the Word of God we are guided to live in the truth. This happens because of God’s grace (that has been given by the Father to all of us who believe in Him) to reconcile us with the Father through Christ.

What is evident of righteous people? Their words and actions. Are our words aligned with our actions? We lie to ourselves when we do things that are wrong. The righteous should be careful in their words. The words of the righteous will bring life.

In the life of the righteous there will be values of honesty, godliness, love and faithfulness. The righteous should have compassion for others, just like Lord Jesus who has compassion for people and care for their needs. Compassion is not only about pity; it must be accompanied by actions to help those who need it. The righteous does not withhold kindness. The life of the righteous is to be a channel of blessing.

The life of the righteous is just like a tree with strong roots which  cannot easily be shaken in the midst of the storm. The same thing applies for righteous people; their lives are rooted in the Word of God and God’s will. If we are strongly rooted in Christ and the Word of God, we will become strong righteous people who are not easily shaken. 

The life of the righteous is a channel of blessing.
