ENOUGH: AIM HIGHER
“A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short, he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.” (Luke 19:2-4)
Sometimes, when confronted with huge global problems, we think we are too small. Well, Zacchaeus knew full well he was small but he wanted to see Jesus. So, he looked around and saw what was available, and used that.
Sometimes in life, we feel like we need to push through the crowd to get to where we want to be. But the example of Zacchaeus shows us that the answer is not to scrabble to the front but to aim higher – to seek a personal connection with Jesus.
So, today, take a moment to look at the barriers in your daily life that are preventing you from seeing Jesus. And think of a different way of getting there. What do you have in front of you – it could be a friend, an opportunity or a place – that can lift you higher above the bustle and help you see Jesus face-to-face?
Father God, give me that desire to see You clearly above the crowds, and help me climb higher so that there is nothing that can get in the way. In Jesus’ name, amen.

यस योजनाको बारेमा
In God’s eyes, we are more than enough. It’s why He sent His son to reconcile us to Him. Though we may never grasp just how much He loves us, at Lent we can take time to reflect on all He did for us. It's time to reject the message that we aren’t enough, and instead remember Christ died for us, just as we are.
