WHO AM I?

At the start of a new school year, there are many new experiences and choices. It can be exciting or it can be a bit scary – and it’s often a bit of both.

Look at the verses from Psalm 139 and see how God knows us inside-out. He wants us to be unique, to be ourselves – why? Because God made us this way. Being ourselves is not just about being good at sport or making friends, but about realising that God loves us and accepts us just as we are.

We can feel safe knowing that God is with us. He will help us to make good choices when we ask him.

Think about what sort of person you want to be at school.

• What would you like to get out of school this year?
• Will you be hard-working, or do just enough?
• Will you be caring or disrespectful?

Remember, it’s up to you to decide how you will behave and what sort of person you will be.

Pray: Tell God how you are feeling about going back to school. Ask him to be with you.
