We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

365 पैकी 301 दिवस

Day 301 of 365

Hebrews 3 calls us to “fix our thoughts on Jesus,” the faithful High Priest who intercedes on our behalf. We’re reminded of the importance of maintaining a heart that is soft and responsive to God, avoiding the pitfalls of hard-heartedness that plagued God’s people in the wilderness. In Jeremiah, we see how the people’s stubbornness and disregard for God’s commands led to spiritual ruin. The Holy Spirit prompts us to stay vigilant, guiding us back to a life centered on Jesus—where we find true peace, strength, and purpose.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus brings clarity and hope, anchoring us in truth as we navigate life’s challenges. The Spirit strengthens us, helping us resist distractions that pull us away from God’s presence. When we are focused on Christ, we are empowered to walk in obedience, letting His love and wisdom shape our decisions and interactions with others. A life fixed on Jesus becomes a testimony of faithfulness and peace, inspiring others to seek Him.

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you center your heart and mind on Jesus. Let Him reveal any distractions or hard-heartedness that may keep you from fully embracing God’s will. May your life radiate the love and peace that come from a heart fixed on Jesus, drawing others closer to Him.

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
