We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to Godनमुना

Day 201 of 365
In 2 Kings 24-25, we witness the sorrowful end of Jerusalem’s sovereignty as the people are taken into captivity. Despite their suffering, God’s presence remains with His people, even in exile. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas face imprisonment, yet they choose to worship, leading to a miraculous jailbreak. These stories remind us that, in the midst of trials, the Holy Spirit provides us with strength and joy that transcends our circumstances.
Endurance in trials requires a steadfast faith and reliance on the Holy Spirit. When we face hardship, the Spirit comforts us, fills us with courage, and helps us hold on to hope. Paul and Silas’s response to their imprisonment reflects a profound trust in God’s purpose and presence, even in suffering.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to be your strength in any trials you’re facing. Ask Him to fill you with joy, peace, and resilience, knowing that God is with you. Let your response to challenges reflect a deep trust in God’s power, inspiring others to see His light shining through you, even in difficult times.

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
