HELP ME BE YOUR WITNESS
When I read Matthew 28:19, I see a command from Jesus for us to make disciples. That has always overwhelmed me. I've always thought it was all on me. Not true! I came upon the truth of Acts 1:8 in recent years. I started praying that not only would God give me opportunities to talk about Him but that when it happened, I would have the Holy Spirit like an earpiece whispering into my ear what I should say.
I prayed one such prayer over my hair stylist recently, and it has amazed me how God has opened the door to conversation, and how things have popped into my head as she asks questions. One question was, “Why was Christianity any better than other religions?” I prayed quickly, “Help me, God," and suddenly I thought about a sermon series Pastor Bob preached years ago on different religions versus Christianity. I could share that Christianity was the only one with the free gift of salvation and told her what Jesus had done for us!
Jesus said He was sending the Holy Spirit to be our Helper. Ask Him to help when you pray the dangerous prayer, "Help me be Your witness".

In His most familiar prayer, Jesus uttered a four-word "dangerous prayer:" "Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10). It takes trust in God's goodness and faithfulness to pray for His will in our lives. I want to invite you to have the same heart and desire as Jesus and to follow His lead in these four words: "Your will be done."
