The Road to 1 Million Salvationsഉദാഹരണം
Day 1 - Vision
Vision can seem like a far-off concept, spiritually speaking.
When someone asks me what my vision is for x-y-z (insert area of life that they are concerned with), I sometimes fumble for an answer.
I think the reason for this is because the word “vision“ can encapsulate so much.
But, when you break down the word “vision” into other concepts such as “revelation“ (as outlined in the NIV version of today’s scripture) or questions such as, “what do you see for your future in the area of ...“, these seem, at least to me, to be much more tangible and approachable questions and queries.
So, whether the word “vision” causes you to stumble or not, the question of vision and future remains.
When CBN UK received the vision for seeing one million souls saved, we knew that it was a vision and ambitious goal from God. How did we know? Because it was way out of our league! Totally out of our hands!
To manufacture one million salvations through might alone is nearly impossible.
But with God, all things are possible.
Gleaning a vision from God Himself is always the best place to start when contemplating the future of any given part of life, ministry, or our world.
It means that the vision you receive will always be bigger than you. It will be bigger than your greatest dreams or imagination, not mustered up from your human vantage point and limited imagination.
So, what does the Bible tell us about the alternative to vision?
“...without vision, people perish.”
The NIV version says, “without revelation, people cast off restraint.’“
Again, this hammers home the truth that we must seek God for our vision, or revelation. Only God can reveal the mysteries of the Kingdom, and His ways and thoughts are always higher than ours.
When we tap into prayer and relationship with God, we unveil what He wants to do in the earth and in our lives, communities, and relationships. We begin to see just what He is capable of.
My encouragement to you today is to get alone with God, take a pen and a piece of paper, and ask God this simple yet deeply challenging question:
Father, what is your vision for...?
You can insert the area of your life, the area of your ministry or your country in the blank, and then, wait to see what the Lord will say.
He may not answer you immediately. He may want you to press in further, testing to see if you really want to know.
But, rest assured, when vision and revelation are revealed, you’d better buckle up because what God wants to do through His willing servants in the earth is spectacular.
Question:
- Have you considered what revival would look like in your city or nation?
Action:
- Whether revival, breakthrough, healing, or accomplishment, vision is bigger than a goal. It’s about God’s heart for it. Write down an area of your life that you are asking God to reveal His heart for – and document His response.
