Would you dare to be generous in new ways?

Today is a good day to explore new ways to be generous. To become more generous in general, it is important to try to be generous in a particular area first, in a sustained way, and then expand to other areas of our own life.

It is not so much about what we achieve externally (impact on others), but rather it is about the territory we manage to conquer on our internal map, the level of freedom and detachment we achieve, and the radicality of our obedience to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives.

You can start by being more generous with the basic people around you (family, church, neighbors, community, etc.). It can also be experiencing being generous in some area of life where you have not been much or not at all. You can also be generous to people or organizations you haven't been generous with. In short, you can check in which areas you are being or can be more generous: time, relationships (contacts), talent, knowledge, experience, influence, work, service, caring for another(s), hospitality, compassion, testimony, and forgiveness, among others.

Remember that generosity is like a muscle, the more you exercise it, the more it grows. And that's precisely what we hope for, that you'll be intentional about growing at least a little, daily, in the grace of giving, until it becomes a comprehensive, sustained, and expansive lifestyle.

For reflection: With which of the resources God has given you could you be more generous? In what new area would you like to try being generous?
