• What cultural dynamics did Mary call out? Which ones would you say are still true today?
• How do you think God invites us to respond to Jesus' birth?

NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?

• Mary chose to trust the message God sent through the angel. Has there ever been a time you were able to have that kind of trust? What happened?
• Especially at Christmas, it can be easy to think of blessings as presents or material things. What other kinds of blessings do you see?
• What's a blessing you can become more aware of this Christmas?
