Easter, Jesus, and the Resurrectionഉദാഹരണം
Jesus is raised! So if you are in Jesus, you will be raised one day too! Like Jesus. Transformed and renewed! A new life that will never perish, spoil, or fade.
Until then, we wait.
Peter knew that wait. He knew it was worth whatever he’d face. Paul knew it, too. So he writes, “Whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord… I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”
Revelation describes that future resurrection is a time when there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain. A time when all things are made new. For centuries, Christians went to their death rather than turn their back on Jesus, knowing that even though they would die because of Jesus, someday they’d live again, too. Some today still do.
So let’s say it again. Christ is risen. If you are in Christ, someday you will too. With resurrection in sight, Christ went to his death, knowing his resurrection would come. We can do the same.
God has given you a mighty promise. He has invited you to share in the life he brings. Whatever we face, whatever the struggle, we live in the hope of a resurrection to come. All of it centered on Jesus, back from the dead!
