Grace & Truth (A Purity Study From 1 & 2 Corinthians)ഉദാഹരണം
CLEANSED FROM SIN
God has your best interests in mind in the areas of love, sex, and dating. God loves you so much!
In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul addresses an issue that is happening in the church involving sexual immorality. He gives the church specific instructions on how to deal with this issue. You can imagine that was a hard truth to deliver. Then, in the next chapter, Paul says these words.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NLT)
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
Paul is not beating around the bush! As he does in these letters to the church in Corinth, he shares with them God's TRUTH, even if it is hard to hear. But he doesn't stop there; he then shares the good news of God's GRACE.
1 Corinthians 6:11 (NLT)
Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
The truth is that all of us have been separated from God because of our sins. And it is only because of God's GRACE, through Jesus Christ, that we are saved and cleansed!
No matter what you have done, God has paid the price for you to be set free and made right with God. And not just saved and going to heaven, but cleansed from the mess of your past.
