PRAYING SCRIPTURE
Praying scripture is one of the most powerful things that we can do. In 1 John 5:14-15 it tells us that if we pray according to His will, we know He hears and that we have that which we have asked. When we pray scripture, we can stand boldly and confidently based on His word. I am going to list a few of my favorite scriptures to pray. As I read and pray these scriptures, some are Bible prayers, and others are verses and or promises that I want to see in my life or the life of someone I am praying for. I will often place the name of the person I am praying for right into the scripture as I pray it. As you look for more promises on different topics, you can go back to the different days and look at some of the verses brought in on different days.
Promises for the lost: Acts 26:18, 2 Cor. 4:4, Matt. 9:37-38, Luke 1:17
Prayers for revelation: Col. 1:9-12, Phil. 1:9-11, Eph. 3:16-21, Psalm 119:18
Prayers for wisdom: James 1:5
Prayers for character: James 1:19, John 13:35, Prov. 28:1, Gal. 5:22, 1 Cor. 13:4-8
Prayers for provision: Phil. 4:19
Prayers for healing: 1 Peter 2:24, Mark 16:17-18, Acts 10:38
Prayers for God’s will: Matt. 6:9-13, 3 John 1:2, Isaiah 6:8
Prayers for strength: Luke 22:46, Col. 1:29, 2 Cor. 12:9
