Philippians

24 ദിവസത്തിൽ 2 ദിവസം

These verses reflect the portion of Paul’s letter where he shares his prayer for the people in Philippi. He prays something that I want to always remember to pray for myself. In verses 9-11, Paul prays for the Philippians to have perspective - perspective of what really matters. Why? So that they are able to live the lives that God has called them to live. Lives that are pure and blameless, described in the Amplified Bible as “lives that lead others away from sin.”

Your perspective determines the direction that you go. If someone tells you to walk to the left and you do, but they meant for you to walk to their left, you have just (accidentally) walked in the wrong direction because you didn’t have the right perspective. Today and every day we can pray that we have the right perspective on our relationships, our purpose, our current season of life, the things we fear, how we spend our time, how we spend our money and so much more. And when we have the right perspective on what matters most to God, we can then live our lives in step with God’s perfect will which will lead others away from sin and bring glory and praise to God.

Prayer points:

  • Pray for God to give you the right perspective in all areas of your life. List out some specifics.
  • Ask God to use your life and newfound perspective to draw others close to Him.
