Every Woman's Story: Peaceഉദാഹരണം
What goes with peace?
You can sit on your couch with a nice bowl of something cold and creamy and think you’re at peace. But just because the spoon has pushed the stress back a bit doesn’t mean your soul is at rest.
Beware of false peace. It can look like relaxation or self-care. The afterglow of a good massage might feel like peace. But if a factor in your life—a relationship, your job, a problem—can quickly ramp your heart and mind back into a frenzy, then you have not met peace.
Peace comes with truth, love, kindness, and doing the right thing. So if these are absent, you need to ask yourself if you’re facing the issue to be dealt with or if you’re simply escaping from it temporarily.
Act
Take a week to examine your downtime. What are you using it for, and why?
Pray
God, help me recognize when I’m using relaxation in place of true peace. In the places I don’t want to engage, help me be brave and look at them with you.

When life gets to be too much, we start scrambling for peace. We look for something, anything, that will stop the feeling of being overwhelmed. We often look for peace in the wrong places. It never lasts. Most of it does harm. God isn’t stingy with peace. Like a cool sip of water on a hot day, he will refresh us amid the overwhelming and the hard.
