Year of the Bible: Part Twelve of Twelveഉദാഹരണം
Trust Jesus to Bring Justice
Jude's writing was severe regarding the false teachers that had crept into the church. His motive was protective as he addressed the dangers of such people. He wrote this letter to a church that deeply understood the Jewish scriptures and other historical writings. Jude quoted a prophecy from the book of Enoch that indicated Jesus would execute judgment on the ungodly, including the false teachers that Jude warned about at the beginning of his letter.
Jude encouraged the church to stay with the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to inform their perceptions and lead them in the way of life. Scoffers will pressure us to follow ungodly desires, but when we stay connected to the Spirit, we can tell when something is not godly.
Jude celebrates that Jesus will bring justice to those in the wrong. Our choice to stay connected to God through the leading of the Holy Spirit is far more important than following the teachings of humans. We can trust that Jesus will vindicate every wrong and bring justice to all who have been deceptive in the church. Don't lose sight of Jesus when people lie, teach false ideas, or act in a way that Jesus would reject. He is still working on your behalf, even when people let you down.
Question: Do you believe Jesus can keep you strong if you lean into Him? Do you believe that He will bring justice to those who mislead?
Prayer: Speak life and worship God with these words: I believe Jesus can keep me strong in my faith. I believe the Holy Spirit can show me when I accept a lie and help me walk in truth. I choose to yield to the Holy Spirit today for guidance and the ability to follow the truth. I trust that Jesus will judge fairly and bring justice to those who need it. God is my vindicator, and I will trust Him to lead me in righteousness.
