The Armor of God: Part IV

In this series, we’re discussing the armor of God. The fourth piece of armor the Apostle Paul references is the shield of faith.

In 2007, we hosted our first major conference. After we finished, Chip Ingram told me, “Rick, this event had a huge impact, and the enemy is not pleased. You will likely be under attack for a while, but God is with you.”

Almost every appliance we own broke that month. But our faith allowed us to persevere because we knew God was in charge.

We read in Ephesians 6:16, “Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

If you are experiencing spiritual attacks, raise your shield of faith and trust that God is with you.

1. Are you modeling trust in God to your team when your company faces difficulty? If not, how might you?
2. What do you do to support your team when they are struggling? Is it jumping into the fray with them, encouragement, detailed game plans, and/or extended breaks? Have you asked them what they would prefer?
