Wise men still seek Him

Seeking God is one of the most important pursuits that you should prioritize. It’s like a hunger or an appetite. Do you remember the song “I’m Hungry for You” by Clint Brown? That song is ringing in my heart and mind. Hunger for God keeps me safe and focused during this Advent season. What keeps you focused and safe during the Christmas rush? 

A few weeks ago, I was asked to speak to a large gathering of Indian believers using an app called Zoom. Evangelist Rambabo started a church a few years ago that has exploded with the presence of God. Miracles, healings, signs, and wonders are pouring down from heaven. Even during the pandemic, the church is growing online and in person. But my favorite part of the meeting was when thousands cried out to God for more. Once you taste the riches of heaven and a bit of the glory of God, you will cry out for more.

Do you need more of God? Jabez asked for more from God: “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.’ And God granted his request.” (1  Chronicles 4:10, NIV) 

You should ask God for more. He’s a generous God. Paul the apostle asked God for more for a group of believers in Ephesus: “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,” (Ephesians 3:17-18, NIV).      

A big theme of Advent is “God did amazing things in the manger, but there is much more coming.” Do you believe God can do even more in your life, business, city, and nation? My answer is “Yes, Lord, I believe!” 

Here is another promise of God to encourage you to ask for more. The more God pours into your life, the more you can give to others, and the more you are blessed. This promise has a precious place in my life. I’ve claimed it 10,000 times. I’m praying it will become your expectation and confession: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV). 

You can ask for more because God loves you, and you’re a miracle.
