Thirty Days of Thanksgiving and Worship ഉദാഹരണം
The Power of Music...
... but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...
Ephesians 5:18-20
I have a question for you. Hasn’t music played a large part in your life?
Music is powerful. God created us to be moved by the tapestry of its various sounds, beats, and beauty. It only takes a familiar song from a certain time in your life to draw you back into memories, emotions, and recollections. We can usually long remember the lyrics to a song. A memorized piece of literature? Maybe not so much.
We find music integral in thanksgiving and praise in the halls of heaven and throughout the ages on earth. Often the Holy Spirit speaks to us through melodies and lyrics to build our faith and usher us into the throne room. Spirit-filled worship music is transformative, changing us, and the atmosphere around us.
Years ago, our family struggled to get back to God’s will for our lives after we had taken a drastic detour. We needed to return to where we had last heard His direction, and it required every ounce of our faith and trust. That season for us felt as if we were jumping off a cliff into His unknown.
During that time, my husband and I arrived to worship with our church every time the doors were opened. We went to four services every weekend, just to partake of the authentic, Spirit-led worship there. As we entered into God’s presence, the Holy Spirit anointed songs of worship and praise caused our fears to dissipate, fresh surrender took place, and our faith was released.
And, God came through for us.
