Sacrifice: God Gives 100%ഉദാഹരണം
God Gives Love
Ready:
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Set:
When we love something, it shows in how we talk about it, how we act and how we live our lives. If we love our sport, sometimes it’s all we can talk about. We can spend every waking moment thinking about a favorite team, a favorite athlete, and researching new methods of training so we can get better. Hours are spent in practice, with our team and on our own. And we take pride in how we do, celebrating the victories and personal goals, learning how to do better if we lose or miss our mark. When we love our sport, it’s evident, and we do everything we can to dedicate our heart and soul to the season.
But if things don’t work out the way we envision, we take it too much to heart. We base our feelings off how we perform, wins and losses and how far we make it in the postseason. These all fluctuate, and oftentimes, sports can disappoint us, and we are left feeling like who we are is directly connected to how we do. This can make for an awfully frustrating life if we base our value off things that fluctuate.
This is the core of it: that it doesn’t matter what you do, what you have or have not accomplished,, or how many accolades you receive. You are loved by the God of this universe, unconditionally, simply by being you. God doesn’t base His love off what you do, but rather who He is. Yes, He created you with the talents and abilities you have, but He first dreamed up your heart and the things that make you, you, and saw that it was good. He is for you and always wants your best because He knows how He made you and who He has made you to be in Christ. He is the originator of love, and no performance high or low will ever change His thoughts about you.
God loves you, right now, as you are, where you are. And that will never change. Embrace His love and allow Him access to your heart.
Go:
1. Where do you need to let the love of God into your life?
2. What are the obstacles that keep you from experiencing God’s love?
3. Take some time to show God’s love to your friends and teammates today.
Workout:
Psalm 103:8; 1 Corinthians 13:13; 1 John 4:7
Overtime:
You know exactly who I am, and how You have created me. And You love me just as I am. Thank You for Your selfless and unconditional love that I willingly receive. Help me to be a light to this world and show Your love to my family, my teammates, my friends, and my neighbors. Amen.
