Enter In - To The Life God Promised Youഉദാഹരണം
THE DEVOTED THINGS
When God blesses His people, it is to bring glory to His name.
God is generous by nature and always desires the best for us as His children. Psalm 35:27 says, "The Lord delights in the prosperity of His servant." But in order to able to handle the blessings of God in our lives, our hearts need to be free - otherwise we become focused on the blessings and not the One who is blessing us.
The blessing of God comes to you, but it is not solely for you to enjoy. God gives this to us so that we in turn can bless others. That's the purpose of His blessing on our lives, that we would be part of making a difference in the hearts of those around us. We get to be part of God's great plan to bless His people.
The challenge for us is that we become consumed with getting, with keeping for ourselves, with the created things rather than the Creator. We need to regularly check our motives and realign our hearts, and we need to seek first God's Kingdom, then blessing flows into and through our lives. This was a difficult lesson for Joshua and the Israelites to learn and it's not easy for us either. It requires surrender. To free your soul you need to surrender control. But in doing so, we can fully ENTER IN to the life God promises us.
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
How free is your heart right now?
What are the things that you are worshipping in your life right now?
What should you lay down in surrender in order to seek God first?
PRAY:
God I want to seek you first. I'm sorry for where I have let possessions/position/success take the place that should be Yours in my heart. Today I lay down these things in surrender. Help me to set my heart free.
