Flourish In Christ: 7-Day Devotionalഉദാഹരണം
Last week, as I woke up in one of my pity party moods, I went and grabbed my coffee and sat down to read my devotion. The title, All Tuckered Out, was like a light flashing in my face and God saying, get out of your pity party and listen to what I’m telling you this morning.
How often do you feel like you have grown weary, stumbled, fallen, and your walk with God has grown faint?
I started to read in the book of Isaiah 40; it grabbed my attention quickly. I have read these scriptures many times, but this morning, it was new, it was refreshing, and it was just what my tuckered-out heart needed to hear. Our fast-paced life can overwhelm even the strongest. I had continued to fill my days with so much! We keep saying yes, because why? 1.) we don’t want to let people down 2.) we want to look like we have it all together 3.) we have a worldly urge to do more than we should.
So many reasons, we could go on and on, BUT the one thing I want to point out is that this is where the enemy wants us. The enemy wants our schedules full; he wants our minds consumed; he wants wedges in our marriages, families, and relationships; he wants to destroy our relationship with Christ. He wants us to faint and grow weary, stumble, and fall. Whether it be our schedules or trials that make us weary, when we trust in the Lord, we will be renewed in our strength. We must have faith knowing that whatever valley we might be walking through-He is there! He is giving us the strength we need to get through each day. Through Him, our strength will be renewed, and we will overcome!
Where do you see your walk with Christ weak? What steps can you take to be renewed in your strength?
