Acceptance
Have you ever found yourself fixated on what used to be or yearned for scenarios beyond your control? If so, you likely feel entrapped, unable to seek valuable lessons in the “what is.” After all, it feels abnormal accepting circumstances that generate discomfort. We’d rather fight them.
However, the first step to emotional wellness is realizing that God is at work even NOW. That process demands unanswered pain rather than immediate paradise. It’s easy to get caught up in the “Life’s not fair” or “I didn’t deserve this” mindset. But from God’s helicopter view, this season is a necessary component in how He’s fashioning us for better things. Now is necessary. It’s only a season and it will pass, leaving the residue of how God used the complications to prove our faith and strengthen our usefulness in His service. Divine purpose breaths in the center of adversity.
In the Bible, David wrestled with his own faith concerning hardships. Psalm 27:13-14 reveals his breakthrough strategy, I would have despaired unless I believed I would see the goodness of the Lord. Wait; be strong, and let your heart take courage. Notice David’s words, “I would have despaired?” But he didn’t. Instead, he cast his confidence onto the Lord and believed in God’s character when he couldn’t trace His hands.
What difficulty do you find hard to accept? What do you believe about God in this matter?
Beloved single mom, you think you will never be able to accept what’s happening. But one day you will see it from My perspective. I am bringing beauty out of the ruins of your past. I will not abandon you. I see where I’m taking you. You are not alone. I love you. – Jesus
