The 14-Day Thankfulness Challenge

14 ദിവസത്തിൽ 1 ദിവസം

Sometimes it's easy to be thankful. Other times, well, not so easy.

We're surrounded with divisiveness, heartache, struggle, illness, and all sorts of relational pain. And yet, we are called to be thankful people.

Not superficially thankful, but authentically thankful.

God is good. God is trustworthy. God is bigger than the things I complain about. Not only is He bigger, but He's present in my pain. And He's present in yours too.

There will always be events, people, and hardships that can - if we let them - derail us from being thankful people.

But there is so much to be thankful for...

  • For WHO God is.
  • For HOW He has shown Himself faithful in the past.
  • For WHAT He has provided.
  • For WHOM He has placed in our lives.
  • For WHERE He will guide and provide in the future.

This challenge is designed to help you develop a habit of focusing on all there is to be thankful for (without denying the very real pain).

The challenge is quite simple.

Step 1: Commit to five minutes every day for the next two weeks.

Step 2: Spend one minute being thankful in each of the five categories mentioned above.

Step 3: Share something you are thankful for (that God brought to mind during your five minutes) on social media, in a text, or with a friend who is also doing the challenge.

That's it. Not complicated. But so necessary.

Each day I will include an image with a verse from that day's reading as well as a reminder of the five categories to guide your prayer time.

NOTE: You can find all of these images (and more) at this post on my blog

BTW...If you share on Twitter or Facebook, would you use #ThankfulnessChallenge so I can follow along? Thanks.
