GREATER THINGS:

There’s no getting away from it: in this world, we will face trouble.

Trouble in our families, our jobs, our governments, even trouble within ourselves. It's so easy to begin to wonder, is this all there is? Will life ever get any better?

What do we do with this discouragement? Where do we go when we face trouble? How do we get to the other side of it?

In John 16:33 Jesus says, “In this world you will have trouble…” but He also goes on to say, “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Trouble is unavoidable, we live in a world we were never meant to live in, so there will be trouble, but you can find courage in your troubles when you know that Jesus has already overcome the world. The victory has been won, and we are just passing through this broken place.

Whatever trouble you might be facing today, whatever battle you are fighting, take heart! God has promised that He has already won, which means YOU have already won! You are not alone; He is in the fight with you!

Greater Things has been my declaration of exactly that. When I face trouble, when my heart has been discouraged and afraid, I have cried out, “I will not fear, for you are with me. I’ve seen this fight from the victory.”

Declare that today in the midst of your trouble. It may be scary, it may be hard, but you can trust Him with your journey, because He has already won.
