Week 6: Seeing with God’s Eyes

Focus: Learning to see the world as God does and living in hope, renewal, and restoration.

Connect: What if the impossible wasn’t just possible, but already accomplished? What if the story you thought had ended in loss was only the beginning of something greater?

Early in the morning, as the sun began to rise, a group of women made their way to Jesus’ tomb. Their hearts were heavy with grief, their hands carrying burial spices. They expected death. But when they arrived, the stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty. And then, an even greater shock—two angels stood before them and asked, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” (Luke 24:5-6).

Could it be true? Could Jesus—who was crucified, buried, and sealed in the grave—really be alive?

What if everything He said was happening before their eyes? What if this moment changed not only their lives but the course of history forever?

Engage: The women at the tomb were the first to hear the good news, but they didn’t understand it right away. At first, they were perplexed (Luke 24:4). Then, when the angels reminded them of Jesus’ words, they remembered and believed.

But when they ran to tell the disciples, their story sounded like nonsense (Luke 24:11). Even those who had walked with Jesus, who had heard Him say He would rise again, struggled to grasp the reality of rthe esurrection. Peter had to run to the tomb himself—only when he saw the empty grave did he begin to wonder if it was true.

The resurrection is the foundation of our faith, but just like the disciples, we sometimes struggle to grasp its full power. We live as if Friday still has the final word, forgetting that Sunday has already come.

But Jesus is alive. His victory isn’t just a story—it’s a promise. Because He lives, we have hope that cannot be shaken.

Apply: Today is a day of celebration, joy, and victory! Take a moment to let the reality of resurrection sink in: Jesus is alive—He was then, and He is now.
Hope is not lost—because Jesus conquered death, we can face life with courage.
The grave is empty—nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Rejoice today! Worship, pray, and thank God for the unshakable, unstoppable, eternal hope of Jesus. Whatever darkness you have faced, resurrection power is greater. He is risen—He is risen indeed!
