Fruit of the Spirit Christmas Planಮಾದರಿ
Day 6: Goodness
“As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.“ (2 Corinthians 9:9)
“Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.” (Romans 12:21)
God’s Plan: Goodness goes beyond morality to an active pursuit of good in others' lives, embodying God’s justice and holiness. By fostering goodness, God equips us to stand against evil, modeling a life transformed by His righteousness, and encouraging others to seek the goodness that comes from a life lived in Him.
Description: Moral integrity and the desire to do what is right; often includes acts of charity and virtue.
Activity idea: Good Deeds Chart
Make a chart where everyone can write down good deeds they do each week, encouraging a focus on positive actions.
Example of Fruit in everyday life: Standing up for someone being treated unfairly or volunteering for a charity to help those less fortunate.
Arts and crafts: Good Deeds Tree
Materials: Brown paper for the tree trunk and branches. Green paper for leaves. Scissors, glue, markers, and small stickers or cut-out "fruits" (like apples or oranges).
Cut and assemble a tree trunk with branches on a large sheet of paper or poster board. Cut out leaf shapes, and on each one, have family members or friends write down a "good deed" they can do, or have done recently. Glue the leaves onto the tree. For each good deed someone does throughout the week, they can add a sticker or paper "fruit" to the tree. Talk about how each act of goodness helps make the world brighter and more loving, and how doing good, reflects God’s heart for us.
This growing "Good Deeds Tree" shows us how small acts of goodness can make a big impact and help reinforce a habit of kindness and compassion.
Eating together: Healthy Grain Bowl
Assemble a nutritious grain bowl with brown rice, grilled chicken and steamed veggies, representing goodness in nutrition.
Today’s Prayer: Fill my heart with goodness, so that I may reflect Your kindness and purity in my actions. Guide me to choose paths that lead to goodness and to sow seeds of virtue in the lives of others.

About this Plan
Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to make this season spiritually meaningful by giving and receiving gifts that last, gifts that bring joy to others and leave a lasting impact on our hearts. After all, we celebrate the kingdom of Christ and the redemptive story and are reminded of the greatest gift we have ever received, namely Jesus Christ. What a stunning, overwhelming, amazing, incomprehensible, and great Gift it is! His best gift to us is our redemption, but while we are still in this world, He offers us His Spirit to help shape our behaviour and make a difference.
