Fruit of the Spirit Christmas Planಮಾದರಿ
Day 3: Peace
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” (John 14:27)
God’s Plan: God's peace, which transcends understanding, guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). He desires us to experience freedom from anxiety and turmoil, trusting in His sovereignty. By embodying peace, we become ambassadors of reconciliation, pointing others to Christ as the ultimate source of peace.
Description: A calmness and assurance that transcends understanding, often characterized by a sense of wholeness and harmony. A knowing that God is in control.
Activity idea: Peaceful Nature Walk
Materials Needed: A small notebook or sketchpad. Crayons or colored pencils. A small bag for collecting natural items (like leaves or stones).
Take a few family members, children, or friends on a nature walk in a nearby park or garden. Encourage everyone to be quiet and observant as they walk, taking note of the sights, sounds, and smells around them. Invite them to collect small natural items (like leaves, flowers, or smooth stones) that they find beautiful or peaceful.
Find a quiet spot to sit for a few minutes and talk to God. Encourage them to close their eyes and focus on their breathing, listening to the sounds of nature, listening and talking to God. After the prayerful moment, ask them to share their experiences. What did they hear? How did they feel? Did they find any items that reminded them of God’s peace? Have them draw or write in their notebooks about their favorite part of the walk, or what they’ve experienced through connecting with God.
Encourage them to use the items they collected to create a "Peace Collage" on a piece of paper or a canvas. They can arrange the items in a way that feels peaceful to them.
Example of Fruit in everyday life: Mediating a conflict between friends or family members and fostering reconciliation, or promoting understanding over division.
Arts and crafts: Peaceful Stones
Collect smooth stones and paint them with words that represent the peace that we can only have through Christ. Use them as garden decorations or paperweights.
Eating together: Chicken soup with freshly baked bread.
Create a calm and wholesome meal and serve this meal with soft, natural lighting (like candles). Play gentle background music, creating an environment that invites everyone to slow down and enjoy the meal.
Today’s Prayer: Grant me Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm my heart amid chaos and uncertainty. May Your peace reign in my life and overflow to others.

About this Plan
Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to make this season spiritually meaningful by giving and receiving gifts that last, gifts that bring joy to others and leave a lasting impact on our hearts. After all, we celebrate the kingdom of Christ and the redemptive story and are reminded of the greatest gift we have ever received, namely Jesus Christ. What a stunning, overwhelming, amazing, incomprehensible, and great Gift it is! His best gift to us is our redemption, but while we are still in this world, He offers us His Spirit to help shape our behaviour and make a difference.
