JESUS, MY ONLY CHOICE

One day I asked my children to choose where they wanted to go and how they wanted to spend their holiday. They could choose the zoo or the playground. They found it difficult to choose between the two options because they liked them both.

We face many difficult options in life: which school to choose, which house to buy, which person to marry, and many others.  But there is one thing for certain that we need to choose: to choose Jesus Christ as our God and Savior in this life.

Joshua encouraged and challenged the Israelites to be daring in following the truth and reveal the truth in whom they chose to worship. They made up their minds, in unity, and determined to serve God by saying, “The Lord our God we will serve, and His voice we will obey.” (Joshua 24:24) Joshua wrote it down and made it as an agreement between God and His people. 

The same challenge is given to us now: to whom will we worship and trust? Will we bind our heart to God and determine the same thing—that we will only worship Jesus Christ in our life?

There is no other God except Jesus Christ our Savior.
