Day 7: The Lord Has Redeemed His Servant Jacob!
Beloved one, the Lord gave me a prophetic word for you today that I believe is going to set you free.
Know:
As I was studying and praying while writing this series, the Lord told me to tell you: “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!”
This phrase is a quote from Isaiah 48:20-21, which says:
“Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing, declare, proclaim this, utter it to the end of the earth; say, ‘The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!’ And they did not thirst when He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them; He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.”
Who is Jacob? YOU are Jacob if:
- You are called to supplant anything evil with anything good. (The name “Jacob” means “supplanter.”)
- You have ever messed something up by going after an evil thing instead of cherishing the good thing you had.
- You have been cheated out of what was due to you.
- You have persevered for the long haul, even in the face of injustice.
- You have been in the place of captivity and imprisonment, longing to be free.
Whether you have messed up your life or not, if you fit any of the descriptions above, the Lord wants you to know that He has freed you.
The Lord has cut the ties that bound you, and your freedom now depends on you. Now, He is telling you to go forth. He is telling you to believe Him for safe passage away from the land of the Chaldeans.
Who are the Chaldeans?
They are the people who pretended to give you their favor and kindness–but it’s a false favor that is not the Lord’s best for you. The Chaldeans (known for their astrology) are also those who look at outward signs and try to tell you who you are.
The Lord does not want you to listen to the Chaldeans anymore. Instead, He wants you to go forth singing into the place where you already know you belong.
The Lord has provided everything you have needed all this time. He has fed you bread from Heaven when no one else would feed you. He has opened walls of solid rock so that His living water could gush through to give you drink. He has provided all your needs.
But your freedom is up to you.
What will you do?
Go forth from Babylon. Flee from the Chaldeans. God Himself has set you free, and you can depart with the voice of singing.
Pray:
“Lord God my Father, I hear You loud and clear. Please help me to follow Your instructions today and step into the freedom You have already paid for me to have. Give me courage, Father, and help me to follow You without kicking against Your guidance.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
As you read today's key Scripture about following God's glory, ask yourself:
- What is God calling you to step out of?
- What is He calling you to step into?
- And what will you do to follow His glory cloud?
