Day 4: Order Leads to Rest
Focus Scripture:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29
Have you felt exhausted lately—specifically from doing the will of God? This kind of exhaustion can be soul crushing and even disappointing at times. There is peace and rest available, but it will require you to go to God first. You won’t be able to access this peace and rest otherwise.
When you go to God, the weight of trying to make things happen on our own is lifted, and in its place, we find peace. From this place of rest, we are better able to recognize the opportunities God places before us.
Seek His rest today and experience the peace that comes from His divine order.
Reflection Prompt:
- Are there areas in your life where you feel anxious or burdened?
- What would it look like for you to surrender those burdens to God today and rest in His order?
Call to Action:
Take a moment to meditate on the Scripture today. Write down one burden you’re carrying, and spend a few minutes in prayer releasing it to God, asking for His peace and rest.
