The Holy Spirit – Jesus’ Partner

DAY 6 OF 6

The Holy Spirit – Jesus’ Partner

WALKING IN THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

MAIN IDEAS

• Peter, who had renounced JESUS in front of a servant girl, speaks boldly about JESUS’ resurrection to the multitudes gathered.

• John and Peter are arrested and brought before the religious leaders; however, now that they are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, they have the necessary courage to confront and accuse them of having crucified JESUS.

• They do not try to put themselves forward for healing a lame man but praise JESUS, as He is the one who brings salvation to all.

• The fullness of the HOLY SPIRIT, Who strengthened JESUS, resurrected Him and raised Him to heaven, manifests itself in the same way in the case of Stephen – the first martyr – who not only sees JESUS standing at the right hand of GOD but is also able to painfully pray for those who are about to kill him.

JESUS described in the finest detail the path one needs to take to be part of the KINGDOM OF GOD. Nevertheless, as the final events of His earthly life are approaching fast, it seemed that not even those closest to Him had learned much from what He spoke and did. Filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, Stephen was able to go through martyrdom with his head held high, his attitude being similar to JESUS’ demeanor at His crucifixion, when He prayed for the people killing him. This shows us that the HOLY SPIRIT not only helps those who believe and repent to be Born Again, but these people are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT; they get enthusiasm, courage, and help throughout all circumstances of life, even in death, if that is the case.
Sadly, some churches nowadays do not promote being filled with the HOLY SPIRIT. This leads to limiting the potential that JESUS gave all His followers. Being filled or baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT can be experimented with when we believe and want this. When we truly want this baptism with the HOLY SPIRIT, we prioritize this search and persevere with a decision. We must believe that everything JESUS promised and was true for His disciples at that time stays true for all His followers at any time in the church's history until the Rapture.
